A friend used to come here, however one day she came from working out so she could be on time, and she was told, "Your dressed too poorly, and next time they would refuse her entry". Bear in mind she had jogging pants and a jacket to match so it wasn't scantly or anything..

A large catholic church that has mass in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. There is a school nearby and also a conference room for events and celebrations.

This parish and I have had a LONG and rocky history. I attended the school from 1979 through 1987 and meet some of the most deplorable people of my life in the process. I was a student that suffered from undiagnosed dyslexia and was met with downright hostility from the teachers and the students there.
With that said, I attended conformation training from 1990 to 1991 which was utterly worthless. Our instructor left during the process and was never replaced, leaving us just gabbing for two hours a week, until we got confirmed.
In 2007, I baptized my nephew there only to have them lose the paper work and since they only baptize once a month, there were fifty children there and the mass took HOURS.
When I got married, 2004 the priest was too busy to see us for all three sessions, the day of the wedding, we had a visiting 19 year old priest sent by the diocese. We checked with the state for our wedding license which St. George never sent. We kept calling the church and the secretary kept saying she would send it in. The state never received it so we had to resubmit it ourselves by calling the diocese and finding the priest they sent (who was about 2 hours away and get his signature) and spending ANOTHER $75 for the wedding license that we were not refunded.
In 2015 we went to get my nephew (the same one that they lost his baptism papers, this was how we found out) enrolled in first communion classes. We went the day of registration and they claimed the classes are all full. They were very matter of fact saying that we could check other parishes is we wish. We did, and we went with another parish who said they would never turn away a student. Which is the way it should be.Added September 10, 2016 by Patrick Chesso
